A special panel conversation and book signing celebrating the newly released “Artists Choose Parrish” exhibition catalog was held on Saturday, November 2. The event included a panel discussion with artists Alice Aycock, NaneBe Carter, and Corinne Erni, Chief Curator of Art & Education, followed by a book signing and toast.
Alice Aycock, NaneBe Carter, Jeremy Dennis, Eric Fischl, Joanne Greenbaum, Suzanne McClelland, Ned Smyth, Donald Sultan, Alix Pearlstein, and Stanley Whitney were among the artists who attended.
“Artists Choose Parrish was a labor of love, uniting our robust artist community — artists, curators, patrons, educators, collectors, docents, and visitors alike — into a learning community to ensure an interdependent and brilliant future. For many of the participating artists, this was an opportunity to pay homage to their mentors, and the result entailed cohesive pairings. This ambitious endeavor was fueled by the unceasing support and commitment of the Museum’s staff and trustees, our incomparable community of artists, and our visionary patrons. Their support is a daily source of inspiration,” said Mónica Ramírez, the Parrish Art Museum executive director.
