The Electric Merch Co., a Hamptons-based brand curation and design agency, is spotlighting award-winning podcaster Emily Tisch Sussman with a new loungewear capsule collection that has the word AUTHENTIC embroidered in the company’s signature couture gradient font. A portion of the proceeds from the AUTHENTIC sales will support Tisch Sussman’s charity of choice, the Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center.

“Emily is a master at connecting with people, whether it be through her podcast or her community. I wanted this collection to represent how she lives boldly and authentically. I’m continually inspired by how genuine she is, and I am proud to have her as the face of the AUTHENTIC collection,” said Julia Dawson, owner and chief brand creator of The Electric Merch Co. “It was my dream as a designer to have a customer as cool and authentic as Emily. As a customer since day one, I am honored to have her tell our brand story, which is all about being bold and colorful and feeling good in what you wear.”

“I am so proud of this collection and what it represents. I couldn’t be happier to be working with Julia to donate a portion of all sales to support Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center and their work providing local children with diversity, culture, and education,” said Tisch Sussman. “Their programming is exceptional, particularly their Teach Me How to Fish training program which is little known and is a workforce training program for adults designed to put them on a path to financial security. As a local mom, I am so proud to have organizations and places like The Center to add to the vibrant community we call home.”

“Thank you so much to Julia Dawson and The Electric Merch Co. for your partnership and generosity, and to Emily Tisch Sussman for bringing us together,” said Bonnie Michelle Cannon, Executive Director of the Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center. “We could not do all that we do without the support of our children and families. It’s nice to be nice!”

Both Dawson and Sussman have made their own pivots and hope to lift and inspire other women to live authentically by sharing their personal journeys and passions. The Electric Merch Co. is Dawson’s third career pivot, as she previously spent years in the fashion industry in New York and then as the owner of an award-winning children’s playspace in Manhattan. Tisch Sussman is a mother of three children and the creator and host of “She Pivots,” an award-winning podcast where she explores and challenges typical definitions of success. Tisch Sussman was inspired to create the show after leaving her job as VP of Campaigns at the largest democratic think tank in Washington, D.C. Her pivot out of politics was followed by a series of second acts, including her podcast “She Pivots,” co-owning Gotham FC (National Women’s Soccer League), producing Broadway hits including “Shucked” and “How to Dance in Ohio,” and being active in a number of art and educational organizations in New York and the Hamptons.

“The way Emily shares the stories of women in their second and third acts is very inspirational,” said Dawson. “Her ability to talk openly and honestly about how having kids changes your life is a testament to her authenticity. As a mother myself, I appreciate how real and important these conversations are.”

The collection includes hats, t-shirts, and loungewear designed in a purple couture gradient to match Tisch Sussman’s iconic hair. The AUTHENTIC collection is the first style in the newly launched “Emily’s Picks,” where Tisch Sussman shares her favorite styles from The Electric Merch Co. All pieces in “Emily’s Picks” will also give 20 percent of proceeds to The Center.
